Glad you found the classes interesting, Virgina! It would be cool to have a special topics course in crisis communication, wouldn't it?

my only tip for you, give that you have the ideas but forget them later, is to keep a small notebook in your purse and jot down your ideas. Or, call yourself and leave a message on your voicemail.

Also, the more you read, the more ideas you'll have about new blog posts.

Is it worth also referring to Citizen Journalism as possible related topic? PR professionals 'sell in' their material traditionally through journalists and editors. Citizens now get involved in the process directly by sending in photos and videos of news events - for example the video of the crash of Concorde in Paris. There could be the opportunity for PR people to get their messages and stories directly onto news sites.

Just a thought!

Yes, it's amazing, how much more you can learn together rather than just from me!
But you should know I'm always there to guide you, answer questions, and cheer you on - so let me know if you need help!

Here's a small goal for you to accomplish in your next blog post: link, link, link.

In this post, you refer to my blog, to Brittany Carson, and to PROpenMic - these should be linked to the blogs/sites you're referring to.

Also, the word "examples" should be linked to whatever it is you're referring to.

Work on that, OK? There's a post on the PRinciples blog about how to insert links (like this one) in text.

I completely agree with you. I was amazed about how others are getting involved with things online! After Dr. V. talked about students becoming involved with PrOpenMic, I did too! Hope you continue to explore new things, Virginia! :)

Nice notes, Virgina. The second one is especially important.
I encourage you to change your blog's title and tag line - both can be done from Settings. It's the link on the top right in the Wordpress dashboard.

Hello Virgina, welcome to blogging!

Very nice and thorough reading notes. Please keep in mind that it's OK to make shorter notes in the future... let's keep the expectations realistic :)
